Say it with me, "No more bad photo sessions"
This blog alone cracks me up. Let's be honest though, whether it's your son, boyfriend, husband, or brother, fighting them to get their pictures taken is a job. It isn't hard to get frustrated when everyone isn't a happy camper. Here are some techniques that will help your next photo session.

Why do men get frustrated!
Before I dive into what you need to do, let's look at why men get frustrated about getting their pictures taken. Number one, these are not "manly activities". Number two, it's easy to be a girl and say you have a good side or you are worried about not looking this way or that way. That is the last thing a man wants to do. Number three, pictures can be nerve-racking when you aren't used to getting them done. Being grumpy about it is a way guys express that.

What to do to keep the fellas happy.
My first bit of advice when it comes to our guys is to communicate. Let them know up front that we are taking pictures for this long. That gives them an idea of what you expect. No surprises! My second thing would be to let your photographer know that you have someone who is getting their pictures taken but isn't the biggest fan. This allows your photographer to know what to expect and everyone to be on the same page. This also will help the photographer make adjustments to fit the situation. My third bit of advice is to find a photographer that handles these situations well. Continue to use that same photographer. This will build trust between you and your photographer. Making everything not so weird. Another thing is to do smaller sessions first. Don't expect to have a day of photo shoots and it goes well when everyone didn't want to do it in the first place. Lastly, I would get them done more often. I know, I know! It's easier to just pick your battles and pictures don't have to be done, but hear me out. The more you do it the more comfortable everyone will be. Before you know it you will have everyone comfortable and understanding that it's not a long process unless you make it one.

please note that I am not in any way saying that the guys in these pictures were grumpy, they are only there for modeling purposes
