What to do when my little one has a bad day during pictures?

In high school, I took some college-level, elementary education classes. I thought I wanted to be a teacher for the longest time. Honestly, I loved every bit of it. I love understanding the way a little one thinks and the way they understand you. Children are little humans that get frustrated and have struggles, just like adults. Just because you think their life is easy and simple doesn't mean they do too. It's their first time being a human and they are new to it, they deserve a break.
As a parent, your little ones are your number one focus. They need a lot of love, attention, and patience. Booking a photo session with your child could be stressful. Wonder if they will get upset and tired of the lights and camera's in their face, and start whining because smiling makes their cheeks hurt? When you have a photographer that understands that they are taking pictures of a child and not an adult, that means you have a good one! Having a child sit still for a good period of time just is not a reality. One of my main jobs as your photographer is to work WITH your child. That means making sure they are comfortable, doing the wiggle dance (trust me, it helps), talking them through the process, and telling them how awesome of a job they are doing because this is a team effort.
